In 4 minutes of pure indie chaos, Geoff Smith and Elliot Ireland manage to guide us through on their latest track, “Palm Reader”.

While the track is pretty spectacular to listen to, it’s all over the place. It takes a good 60 seconds for it move forward in any way, and it’s quite simply a jumble of melodies, sounds and techniques. While a bit sporadic, the London duo pull it off. You won’t be able to figure out what’s happening in “Palm Reader” but you’ll enjoy attempting to do so.

This track is a clash of all things indie – sweeping and ethereal vocals, stunning piano melodies and a generous helping of bonkers. “Palm Reader” is like nothing you will have heard before.

What it track lacks in direction and comprehensible vocals, it makes up for in technique. The piano work throughout “Palm Reader’ is breathtaking. Throughout the track, and on several others in their catalogue, the piano guides you through the mayhem. It’s the most bizarre style and format to any kind of indie music I’ve attempted to understand, but it definitely makes for interesting listening.
