I had the privilege of seeing Goldlink perform live this summer in New York City, and it definitely made me appreciate his music even more than I already did. A dynamic and intimate show reflected the raw talent that always shows through this Soulection member's recorded tracks. Goldlink's newest "Spectrum" exemplifies the rapper's ability to spit his rap game on an unconventional beat unlike any other artist.

This original combines funkadelic elements brought by producer Louie Lastic with Goldlink's impressive flow. The beat is made out of samples from Missy Elliot's 1999 "She's A Bitch" and transformed into a groovy and deep house tune. The fusion of rap with late 90s R&B and upbeat deep house sets the beat apart from others in its genre.

Goldlink strategically chooses the beats he raps on, and rightfully so because it gives him his individual flare. Pick up this funky mix up on iTunes before the release of the rest of his forthcoming album, And After That, We Didn't Talk.
