You'll have to forgive me for my overuse of the word "beautiful" and its synonyms in this review, but it is simply the only word to describe this track.

I could wrap myself up in the hauntingly alluring sounds of "The Beauty Surrounds." It is the lead single, and just one of the amazing tracks off their new album, starting as a simple beat, adding some of the most gorgeous lyrics, and building to one of the best musical hugs you will ever receive.

Houses' new album A Quiet Darkness was recently released, and has been my go-to record for about a week. Each track serves as a lovely slice of beauty from the minds behind the duo, Dexter Tortoriello and Megan Messina.
