Although you may not be totally familiar with the name Karriem Riggins, you're probably quite familiar with his work. 2016 was big year for Riggins. He produced the beat on Kanye West's "30 Hours," one of my favorites tracks off The Life of Pablo, and is credited with the brilliant drum track on Kaytranada's "Bus Ride," which has already been featured on Stereofox. Most notably, he produced the entirety of Common's most recent album, Black America Again.

Riggins is now poised to have a huge 2017, and I'm excited to see what he has cooked up. So far, we know that he plans on releasing a solo album, a follow up of his 2012 release, Alone Together.  Riggins is an extremely accomplished jazz drummer and you can hear that intimate relationship with percussion and rhythm in his beats. Check out "Bahia Dreamin'" and keep your eyes and ears on Karriem Riggins going forward.
