So, what are we listening to today? A song of Pretty Light's brand new album A Color Map Of The Sun which was released...a week ago! Brilliant stuff, I tell you. Brilliant! It is interesting to note that Derek Smith took an interesting approach while recording this record. Instead of relying on traditional sampling common for many artists in the genre, he has used live instruments and vocalists. I guess that makes things way more personal and expressive from an artist's perspective? To quickly sum up my short evening post - you gotta dig into his music! Enjoy the evening =)
