Selah Sue exploded in Europe in the late 2011 with her pop-reggae-soul crossover self-titled debut album and Amy Winehouse-esque vocals. The dramatic ballad "This World", repeated almost to the point of insanity by radio stations and bartenders  in my country, put Selah Sue on high positions on the charts, but after that the Belgian singer kind of subsided into silence.

This year she comes back with a new voice, long awaited sophomore album, and a tour. While I might not have been a huge fan of her first album, I was pleased to see this year's Reasons has really taken a more mature, musically rich direction. The feel is groovier, the production is on a much higher level and the tracks are far more sonically intriguing. A great example of the new Selah is her collaboration with American comedian-turned-actor-turned-rapper Childish Gambino. "Together" fits the mainstream fusion of pop, electro and hip-hop and has all the features of becoming a summer banger.

Selah Sue comes to Sofia, Bulgaria for a show, organized by EventEase, to promote her new album Reason. See her live on May 14.
