Listening to Snowmine's Dialects album, I can't help but note how different each song is. Classical instrumentation with flutes, strings and horns give a vintage cinematic feel to some songs, as with the eccentric "To Hold An Ocean". A synthesizer and a driving beat give "Rome" a throwback sound, and the almost Latin-sounding introduction of "Further Along, Further Away" is complemented with sweeping violins, a tambourine and a snappy chorus. Sounds weird, right? It is, and it works.

And get this - they don't even have a label. Their ongoing tour and latest album Dialects are completely crowd-funded via their website through many creative donating options.

If you like their experimental sound, consider supporting this talented and innovative five-piece band from Brooklyn, New York!
