I am not sure how I managed to overlook this Australian goodie, but better late than never, right?
Willow Beats invaded the Australian electronic music scene (which we like a lot here on Stereofox) with their Alchemy EP in 2013. Hailing from Melbourne this duo consists of Narayana Johnson and Kalyani Mumtaz (real cool names if you ask me!) and with only one EP released and a bunch of remixes they already keep everybody excited in 2014 with their new releases.
"Blue" is a slow and sexy track showing the great quality of Narayana's vocals (it's normally Kalyani who is doing the vocals part) and I really think we should hear Narayana more. Guitar, smooth almost RnB sounding beats and the unusual for this duo vocals are in perfect harmony and make up for a mesmerizing tune.
