This next morning happiness was a suggestion I got from Jordan, who always comes up with killer tunes. It took me half a listen to realize I will probably get addicted to Young Kato. The indie band (average age around 20) have been making music since the beginning of 2012 and their debut self-titled EP released last summer has already gotten them a well-deserved amount of attention. It was about time to add them to our music collection!
"Drink, Dance, Play" is one of the tracks in the above-mentioned EP. Really upbeat, positive in its own way, the song has the whole summer anthem vibe overflowing from each note and instrument. Unlike many indie pop tunes, the boy has diversified the sound and flow of music - starting with lush piano melodies which eventually evolve to searing guitars and powerful group wooo oh oh oooh (yeah I can transcript that...). And lets not forget the vocals. Pure talented.
