So I caught up with 19-year old British Songsmith Zoey Lily's debut demo at the start of the year and was immediately drawn in by the dark, fragile current of the track.

Fast-forward a couple of months and following a spin in the wash with Northern producer James Kenosha (Rhodes, Dry The River, Pulled Apart By Horses), we finally have our hands on the finished cut.

Any temptation to over-produce the track has been ignored and the beauty of the demo's fragility has been mercifully retained. With an atmospheric, almost subliminal tone, its as beautiful as it is understated - which is exactly why I loved the demo in the first place.

Zoey's debut EP Reckless Minds is set for release later this year and if you don't want to wait that long, you can catch her in London on June 4th.
