I don’t think Dub FX needs any introduction.
He’s been around for quite a while now, always doing quality music with strong messages. And always with his recognizable touch.
I’ve liked him since the first time I heard him. And I am not surprised I really loved Thinking Clear, his latest album, out last year. What astonished me, though, was the jazz influence in it. A lot of sax, keys and magic. And then I discovered the little-known fact that Dub FX used to be a jazz singer until 23.
I’m in love with “Where I Belong” and “Unwind”, where he tells us about his everyday struggles and the choices we all have to make. Really powerful.
This is the first album he recorded in his own studio, The Treetop Studios. He sings about the world we live in, society, positivity and sacrifice. All mixed with drum’n’bass, dub, reggae and hip-hop.
I am extremely happy that I will be able to see him live this year on 23 June, as part of 2017 edition of HippieLandia Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria, thanks to EventEase, who have brought him already in Bulgaria back in 2015 and 2012. And if this isn’t enough, our much loved friend Poldoore will join the party, together with some other amazing artists like Ivan Shopov & Avigeya, LSB & MC DRS and many more. 3 stages in total. Wow!
Go ahead and have a good listen on Thinking Clear, from beginning to end. You won’t be dissapointed. And see you on 23 June!
