Despite the fact that I discovered Mura Masa just a year ago, I feel that Alex has been around for insanely long amount of time. Sometimes I even have doubts whether this guy really sleeps. From brilliant self-created compositions, to on-the-spot remixes and stellar collaborations, this guy is seriously making a name for himself. And I feel there's nothing but awesomeness ahead. As you may have read in the previous features, he quickly became one of my favourite producers nowadays and today it's time to share his new EP Someday Somewhere.
Before anything, I feel I should share with you the following tweet:
it's me singing! it's me! how are people not getting it? haha, is it impossible that a producer writes and sings as well? — ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ† (@mura_masa_) April 10, 2015
Now, when that's out of the way and yes, perhaps some of you, like me, might be mind-blown let's talk a bit about this beauty titled Someday Somewhere.
The 7 tracks EP (tracklist below), besides the voice of Mura Masa, includes amazing collaborations and it's just hard to pick a winner. In addition, I have to say that despite being an EP, it feels pretty ranged in terms of music styles. You'll find some very sensual slow-jams but also tunes which can send you in the right going out mood - "When U Need Me" for example.
I guess it won't come off as surprising if I say that this guy is seriously impressive. So far, things seem completely flawless and hats off to the hard work and the awesome music we have the pleasure to enjoy.
Hope you enjoyed this EP as much as I did!
