February 2014

For those not in the know, the Communion New Faces project has been a pretty accurate barometer for the next big things in music. Back in 2012 they released their first New Faces album featuring the likes of Ben Howard, Daughter and James Vincent McMorrow and have subsequently followed it with the New Faces EP series in conjunction with XFM. This year, the New Faces tour will feature some of the most hotly tipped artists to break out in 2014. Stereofox is giving you the chance to win tickets for the premier show in Brighton on 23rd of February at The Haunt which is already selling out fast.

The ticket is valid for the Brighton show only. The winner will be added to the guest list and will be able to bring +1.

Let's take a look at the acts that will be playing the tour:

Luke Sital-SinghLuke Sital-Singh

Drawing comparisons from the like of Bon Iver, Ben Howard and Jeff Buckley, singer songwriter Luke Sital-Singh has gone from relative unknown to just about everybody's hot top for 2014. Luke's accolades are miles long and include reaching the longlist for BBC Sound of 2014, BBC 6 Playlist and The Guardian F&M playlist. With three beautiful EP's already under his belt, Luke's legion of fans eagerly anticipate the full album, expected this year.

Eliza and the Bear

Eliza and the Bear

To anybody that knows Eliza And The Bear's music, it seems a bit of a no-brainer that they should be on the New Faces tour. With the ability to write increasingly buoyant and hopeful tracks, the London based five-piece have been on the path to greatness for years now and with each new song release they prove themselves to be worthy of a spot on the tour.

Farewell J.RFarewell J.R

Treading the line between indie and folk, Nick Reyner's pseudonym Farewell J.R manages to be both and neither at the same time, existing in its own musical hinterland. Sweeping melodies carry an almost supernatural vocal on tracks like 'Night Wolves' that will utterly disarm you to the singer songwriter's charm. Having recently toured with Communion's own Matthew and the Atlas, 2014 will almost certainly be a step into the limelight for Nick.

Annie EveAnnie Eve

Much like Farewell J.R, Annie Eve has been spending her time supporting some impressively big names. Sharing the stage with Daughter, Matt Corby and Little Green Cars, she will release her new EP Feversome in March. Tipped by the likes of XFM, The 405, Drowned in Sound and Hew Stephens, Annie's dulcet and charming take on indie folk and country music is all but certain to captivate a huge audience for her this year.
