Side B: Heartstrings

Jeeeeeeez! When it came to the arrangement of the drums on BrandonLee's "Side B: Heartstrings" it almost feels like we're hypnotized by how they get you grooving uncontrollably.

They're not only characterized by a distinct sort of bounce, but they're raw and hit hard, particularly the snare and kick. Just when I thought it was the rhythm section that was gripping, the moment that soulful sax slipped into the mix I was swept off my feet. Towards the end when the drums fall silent, a dreamy aesthetic unveils with the glittery keys dancing around the cries of the sax.
