Our favourite French Kiwi Juice dropped his debut album last week and things are sounding just wonderful.
The extraordinary multi-instrumentalists offers a solid fusion of sounds ranging from soul and jazz all the way to instrumental hip hop. I haven't had the chance to dig into the whole release yet, but "Canggu" - the 6th track off the album is a definite winner.
The whole song feels like a masterful improvisation and you gotta give proper credit to this guy for seriously knowing how to construct a song. The dude plays so many instruments, so good it's just beyond imaginable. The press section of the track will smooth out any edge and I really love the chopped female vocal samples used through out "Canggu". It adds a layer of sexiness to the whole thing.
Now I definitely need to jump onto the French Kiwi Juice album.
