Just gonna put it out there. Jaymes Young can do no wrong. Sufjan Stevens can do no wrong. So this reworking of the Sufjan track 'Concerning the UFO sighting near Highland, Illinois' is proof that two rights make one hell of a right.
Sticking fairly truthfully to the source material, 'Habits Of My Heart' unlocks a whole new layer to the song, adding in a modern electric feel and some chops that would be more at home in an R&B track than a slow piano lament. Jaymes' voice glides effortlessly over the remix to the extend that it becomes pretty difficult remembering how the original goes. Any fans of Sufjan, Jaymes or a solid remake/ remix are gonna get a buzz outta this.
