Checking out your local music scene is really one of the best things you could ever do. You never what kind of music you'll find, and it's always cool. Who knows, you may even know a few of the band members! That's how I discovered Mallet Hill.
Their first release, The Klatsch EP, contains five songs, all of which are stellar. The standout track is easily the opener, "Rolling Skies". It opens up with a simple, yet effective, "one, two, one, two, three, four" and jumps into the ukelele melody. Soon, various instruments are introduced, creating quite an enjoyable atmosphere. "Rolling Skies" is one of those songs you can play in the summer, roll down the windows, and think about all the awesome days you have in front of you.
