Here is my selection of the most interesting releases of last week.

Arca - "Soichiro"

Another unsettling piece of electronica from Alejandro Ghersi, that makes me both exhilarated and agitated at the same time. The half of the "video" is naked Arca in blue and the other half - a black screen. Very conceptual.

Daughter - "Doing The Right Thing"

Daughter released a touching new video last week for a song which deals with the subject matter of dementia. Read Ivo's review here.

Erykah Badu - "Hotline Bling But You Can't Use My Phone" (Drake Mix)

Nowadays I can't seem to open the fridge without my milk singing its own rendition of Drake's "Hotline Bling". Erykah Badu also contributed to this trending hashtag with her version.

Tyler, The Creator - "Buffalo/Find Your Wings"

Tyler, The Creator is a confusing character. Just when I think I have his overhyped, obnoxious, shock-value-seeking persona figured out, he releases a video that makes me think he might actually have something interesting to say. Not that his video for "Buffalo" isn't controversial, I presume a black guy, covered in white paint and lynched by a black mob would stir up an argument. But at least we have some sort of a social commentary and without a doubt - an interesting visual piece. The second part of the video release (the B-video?) is an awkwardly funny 70-style, "live" performance of "Find Your Wings".

Lana Del Rey - "Music To Watch Boys To"

My biggest problem with 1960s-loving trailer-trash Madonna Lana Del Rey is that I always feel like I am listening to the same song over and over. But the hell with that, it's always better to watch boys when there is an appropriate soundtrack to your voyeurism.

Lust For Youth - "Better Looking Brother"

Wait, is this an unreleased 1980s New Order? A Flock Of Seagulls? Talk Talk?

Zomby - "Acid Surf"

More acid than surf, really.

Miles From Kinshasa - "Ivry"

Miles is from Kinshasa. Kinshasa is in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Miles from Kinshasa lives in London and last week released his debut track and self-directed video.

Then Thickens - "My Sunday"

Am I the only one who feels like I'm in a late 1990s teen romcom when I listen to this track? In any case, "My Sunday" sounds cosily familiar.

Hot Chip - "Huarache Lights" (Soulwax Remix)

Rockers-turned-electro troupers Soulwax (a.k.a. 2manydjs) remix British electro-giants Hot Chip and the result is expectedly awesome.

Run The Jewels -  "Oh My Darling (Don't Meow)"

So otherwise very socially conscious and politically outspoken NYC-based duo Run The Jewels, apparently really love cats. Some time ago they dropped an album of remixes using cat noises. Last week they released a video for "Oh My Darling (Don't Meow)" (a feline rendition of "Oh My Darling (Don't Cry)"). Reminiscent of an Andy Samberg SNL sketch, the video depicts cats destroying a city. Spoiler alert, in the end the whole thing turns out to be fake.

Also, Bjork released the third volume the of Vulnicura Remix Project.
