I have to admit - for a very short period of time Steve Aoki's "No Beef" was my guilty pleasure. The university days when evenings passed mostly in Dutch bars full of cheap drinks and shitty music, that song felt like a blessing at 3AM.

I never thought I would even bring it up on Stereofox, but the Kuwait-born, Boston-based producer did quite an interesting take on the original. His re-work version is quite... actually much better than the original. Super laid back and dark, besides the main chords you might not recognize "No Beef".

In addition, Reblat adds a nice bassy vibe to the whole thing. 10/10 in my remix book! I had a chance to chat with him a bit about the history of the track:

I've always loved the original back when it came out, I remember that the instrumental version was released first on beatport, then later on Miss Palmer hoped on with her amazing vocals. The vocals captured my attention, and that's why I decided to keep them pretty much the way they were and not mess with it too much.

I always find it tougher to make remix's of songs that I find are good, as opposed to songs that aren't so good. When something is good I like to leave it the way it is, the vocal is the driving factor behind this track. Miss Palmer's voice is angelic, so thank you!
