Perth. A destination I've always dreamed of visiting, interesting name, Bon Iver song title and the home of the band I want to share with you today - Antelope. Their sound is best described as instrumental and post-rock influenced indie rock. I guess...

Their 5 track self-titled EP which I would assume you're already listening to is one of the few records I've actually been excited about in the past month. After endless repeats of the EP these past few days, I thought these sounds should be shared to the community and I hope each of you finds something for himself in the tracks.

Why the last statement? Well, the whole Antelope EP feels like the flow of a curvy river which passes by diverse and seemingly different landscapes. The reason why I absolutely adore the record is because in 5 tracks these guys will take you on a trip from purely post-rock instrumentals (Perennial & Canaveral) to upbeat indie melodies (Dusk & Passages) to ambient/folky music with simple, yet very infectious vocals (Apnea).

I hope you enjoy the record as I truly believe it's one of the best things I've heard in a while. Then again - its just my 2 cents.

Stay up to date.
