If you have not heard of Bonobo, I strongly advise you to take ten minutes out of your time to download his discography, especially albums such as Black Sands and Days To Come. Bonobo, the alias of Englishman Simon Green, has been in the scene since 1999, after releasing his first track "Terrapin".

Hailing from Brighton, he has been experimenting with downtempo & electronic music for almost 15 years, and is considered one of the pioneers in beat-driven music, and he has kicked 2013 off with the release of the much anticipated album The North Borders.

Featured below is the released single of The North Borders, "Cirrus", and if that interests you, I could not say a bad thing about Bonobo's discography, and you should definitely go and check it out!

A master of the bass-line, listening to Bonobo's albums really makes time fly, and before you know it you have listened to an hour of his material. His live performances have also been known to include live bands, with a singer, keyboardist, guitarist, saxophonist, string section, electronics, and drummers all reproducing his material, with Simon himself leading from his bass guitar.

After having bought my copy of The North Borders, I can not recommend strongly enough that you do the same! Every single track will make your neck work, and you will be tapping your hands, feet, anything all the way through. As well as some melting saxophone features, the drums hit hard, smooth vocals throughout, and the ambiance of the album is just great. I honestly believe anybody can listen to Bonobo, and it is hard to put him in a genre since you can feel influences from everywhere when listening to his stuff.

Stay up to date.
