I know people like to chill on Sundays, but for everyone who knows me, and unfortunately for my wife, that's not me. I woke up at 6, did some work, voted in the local elections, hit the gym, did the weekly grocery shopping, and was home by 9 AM. I truly hope I don't pay for this kind of life, but it does feel very intoxicating. Not sure why, but if I also manage to pair it up with a cool electronic gem to soundtrack all of this morning madness while the world's asleep - now that's my kind of morning routine.

Today's mystic energy comes in the shape of Alex Rusin's new single, "Moments". There's something special about the way the song brings different worlds together. Rooted in traditional beatmaking, the track unfolds through cinematic textures, beautifully jazzy chords, and a series of late-night arpeggios that give it an almost dreamlike feel.

A lovely introduction to what's coming on Alex's upcoming EP via Everlight Music, the label founded by Nils Hoffmann.
