The latest release by Alex Rusin "Soon There Will Be a New Dawn" is characterized by an array of dynamic textures and smooth, glittery synth works.
Originally from the Pieniny Mountains, Alex Rusin draws inspiration not only from the beauty of nature, but also from ethnic music from around the world. This is apparent from the range of instruments we hear on this release - there are bright plucks, harps, strings, vibrant percussion, and synth works that fill the mix with color. One of my favorite moments comes towards the halfway mark, where the drums fall silent, and the track takes a deeply emotive turn. This is followed by a section where all the parts come together as the energy swells into a beautifully layered and immersive passage.
"Initially, the song was named „Corp Slave” as a result of quitting the finance corporate job. I wanted to put all my emotions/thoughts about being in a place that makes you feel disconnected from your inner self. Like being a slave of a world which totally doesn’t have anything to do with being an artist, sensitive, emotional", shares Alex Rusin.
