Honestly this is the first song I heard from Anchoress. Someone had sent me an email with their new video and I decided to check it out. Man, I replayed that song probably 20 times before listening to something else.
Anchoress is a band from Vancouver, Canada and they describe their music as "Fierce Post-Hardcore Punk Rock'n'Roll". And they seem to be right about it, because even in this one song "She-Devil" you can hear all those genres. I especially like the dirty southern sound of the guitars.
Based on this track we definitely need to check Anchoress latest release from right here. It is called Set Sail and I think it would be a great soundtrack to drinking-with-friends nights! I actually played the album while writing this....and I can only say one word - wow!
