I was nostalgically drooling over some pictures from a festival trip me and my friends did some 5-6 years ago and while I was trying to remember which were the bands we saw, And So I Watch You From Afar popped into my head. Back then I was just getting to know post-rock music, so the only thing that draw me to their gig was the name. None of my friends joined me - beers in the sun seemed more tempting. Priorities, haha. Anyhow, the gig was a true eye-opener for me when it comes to how explosive post-rock bands can be live!

I've been listening to their older stuff for the past couple of days, so had to "get it out" of my system by sharing something with you guys.

For those of you know encounter the name for the first time, ASIWYFA are instrumental/post-rock band from Northern Ireland and I have to say that these guys are some of the most passionate musicians I've seen live. They've been steadily picking up ever since I first saw them in 2009 and I guess it's safe to say they made a name for themselves in the scene. "Start A Band" is from their self-titled record and its pure, pure brilliance. A whirl of intense and mellow parts... the guitar work around 1:00 makes me utterly relaxed while everything else just feels... well, anything but relaxation. It's definitely a good run/gym music!
