A lot of videos nowadays are just made to look good. Though it sounds harsh, it is not necessarily bad, as long as the video enhances the musical experience. The concept of story-telling has been explored at such depth in the past century by literature, film, theatre, that it is becoming increasingly hard to tell an original story anyways...

"Swerve City" by director Gus Black is a graphic representation of the song's lyrics. The director is himself a musician and has managed to transpose the song's feel on film. In fact, the video brilliantly complements the otherwise cryptic lyrics by frontman Chino Moreno on this particular track. If I had to choose a song off of Deftones' latest release Koi No Yokan to make a video for it would be this one!
