Although I occupy the social science hemisphere I am a big fan of the natural sciences. Therefore, apart from following few music websites I do occasionally enjoy the fruits of natural science with videos like this.

What you are watching are the spiky pulsations of iron dust stimulated by computer-synchronized electromagnets. The electromagnets which are underneath the platform create magnetic fields that are turned on and off in time with the song. The effect is pretty cool and amusingly enough it reminds of the motions in the video "Around the World" by Daft Punk.

Thanks to Science Alert for this awesome post and while I am on the science subject, check out a detailed full-color image of the surface of a comet here! It is worth the click, I assure you.
