Much like Laura and her recent Spooky Black post, I find myself sharing a song that I've been sitting on for a while.
New York-based duo Refs’ debut song “Pain Goes Away” is a smooth and relaxing journey of cool experimental electronic R&B sounds from Zachary Andrew and the crooning of Richard Saunders.
The track is accompanied by a darkly humorous video directed by Sam Hamad.
“The song is about being in love with someone, who may not love you back,” says Zachary Andrew. “For the video, we wanted to do something simple, based around the concept of being always connected but feeling isolated. In New York, it’s easy to feel that way.”
