Anxiety

I've been following the work of Banyan for years now, and I must say their latest release, "Anxiety" with Fractures, is my absolute favorite from their expansive catalog.

For the duo, this special track not only marks an evolution in their sound but is also dedicated to anyone struggling with mental health. Fractures' gorgeous vocal performance blurs the line between haunting and uplifting, while his songwriting assures us that we're able to find our way home again should we have a grey cloud hanging over our head. A feature that really brought the track to life was the soaring synth string echoing throughout the chorus, making the climax feel grand and cinematic. In many ways, this reminds me of Ben Böhmer's earlier work, like the track "Breathing".
