Last Day

If you’ve been waiting for new music from East London rapper Barney Artist for a while, you'll be happy when I tell you that the day has arrived.

This time last year Barney was “painting sounds”, with his Bespoke EP, a project packed with mellow hip-hop beats and jazzy grooves featuring appearances from Tom Misch, Alfa Mist, Emmavie and more.

"The Bespoke EP is a year old (mad), and my supporters have been so sick." "I wanted to give them a present to say thank you, so I hollered at my mate Jordan, and I asked him if he'd be up for making something and he said "Yeah, cool!" and this is the result."

New single "Last Day" continues his forward-thinking approach to hip hop with assistance on production from the man of the moment Jordan Rakei.

The vibe between Barney's laid-back delivery and Jordan's mellow instrumental is something worth appreciating. Barney is currently busy prepping new material, including further work with Rakei so stay tuned for that.
