So, I'm really not sure how this song has slipped my attention: it was released back in 2015 (also crazy to think that it's already been 5 years!) and it represents everything I love about soul/r&b and Anderson .Paak specifically.

The track is riding a melancholic wave, especially when you listen to the lyrics and realize that the track is actually about Paak's father, whom he never met. I love the composition of the track when the beat switches midway and it feels as if you're listening to a whole different tune. This is so dope: the beat, the production, the vocals, the sadness. Whoever Blended Babies are (that band name though), they did good.
