When it comes to what inspired the New York-based singer to write this beautiful piece, she shares, "Holy is a neo-soul track inspired by my partner. Growing up around traumatic & abusive relationships made it difficult for me to have healthy connections. He showed me some people can be trusted as a safe haven, showing what true patience and kindness feels like. I want this song to serve as hope for black love. It’s possible to find a partner that encourages, protects, and adores you. I plan to release a docuseries highlighting black couples and how their love survived the pandemic."
Artistically, "Holy" as wholesome as a song could be. After reading her story, I really felt the connection between the 2 exhaling out of the track. Her silky and laid-back vocals calm you down while still perfectly converting an important message - people around us shape and affect us, no matter we like it or not. That's why it's important to surround yourself with people who lift you up, and not the other way around.
Brianna is truly an artist to be excited about. After her critically acclaimed 2021 single "So Deep", I bet 2023 will be the year of the talented and mind-blowing singer.
