Friday's good vibes are here thanks to our partners at Jakarta Records. Get ready to take a trip to 3 beautiful locations around the world - Tokyo, Tel Aviv and Berlin. Your companions? Producer BudaMunk and one of my favourite singers and beatmakers J.Lamotta すずめ who we've been following since 2018 here at the Fox. After the success of Suzume in 2019, she keeps the momentum going with a new collaborative album with BudaMunk - a record we're utterly excited about.

Besides Friday and the fact that this is music on another level, my happiness chart is off the hook because we're honoured premiere "Eyes to the Skies" and the video coming with it.

I've been listening to this privately for the past few days and I feel I just can't get enough of it. If silk was a sound it would be "Eyes to the Skies". The off-pattern beat perfectly matches with her vibe and flow. One can easily get lost in this and end up in an endless loop of this comfy and seductive universe.

The single will be accompanied by beautiful visuals by Tokyo-based multimedia studio Damn Good Productions and 8mL, and is a perfect vibe for the onset of chillier weather.

Stream "Eyes to the Skies" on all major platforms here.

Lamotta and BudaMunk's full-length album Searching Skies is expected on the 5th of November. Musically, the LP merges Lamotta’s (classically trained jazz musician) iconic r&b and neo-soul aesthetics with BudaMunks laid-back, hi-fi lo-fi hip-hop productions. The collaboration couldn’t come at a better time, as J.Lamotta sees her loyal fanbase growing in Japan. Meanwhile, BudaMunk’s consistency for perfectly-imperfect productions have made him a master of the relaxed flow rhythm that stays fresh and keeps you nodding along.

Honestly, a match made in heaven.
