Do any of you remember Ian Tomlinson? Perhaps the name does not ring a bell so let me put it this way. London, 2009, the G-20 summit protests, a man in his late 50's is on his way home when he is attacked by a police officer. With hands in his pockets, showing absolutely no public threat, Ian is struck on the leg from behind by a pig wielding a baton and then pushed violently forward so that he hits the ground. Minutes after that he collapses and dies. The police officer is charged with manslaughter but later on he is found not guilty for the death of Ian Tomlinson.

"Break the Law, Not the Poor" is a powerful, emotional and angry song against police violence in memory of Ian Tomlison. A huge thank you to Burnt Cross who through their music are engaged in the fight for human rights and civil liberties!
