Cash+David are essentially a newborn outfit. They are so new in fact, that this is their first track. And it only went up on soundcloud a few hours ago. And they're actually newborns.
OK that was a lie, I have no evidence to back that up.
But this track is incredibly fresh and it makes me excited thinking about the potential of these guys this year. Cash+David draw inspiration from literally everywhere. Sleigh Bells, M83, Beastie Boys, The Knife. You name it they're inspired by it. "Funn" is a bit of a melting pot of ideas with its stacked vocals, 80's percussion and crunchy, almost nu metal guitars. The end result is greater than the sum of its parts and "Funn" serves as a great base for Cash+David to launch themselves from this year.
