Catching Flies is giving a masterclass on creative versatility. While George lives in the giant sonic universe called electronic music, there's no knowing what to expect when he drops new music. His latest single, "Marseille," is a gorgeous soul-injected dance anthem recorded during his visit to Marseille, which I imagine is quite beautiful based on what’s on the Internet. The song seems to capture those pristine waters perfectly, and it carries the feeling of the upcoming hot months, when life often (hopefully) feels carefree. A great addition to any feel-good selection you have going on for the summer of 2025.
The DIY video he posted on Instagram is quite funny, and the story behind it adds to the breezy, light feeling to the tune "I made it when I was there and filmed a video for it, but then I dropped my phone in the sea. I can’t be bothered to fly there to do it again (also bad for the environment), and I don’t really wanna drop my phone in the sea again either. So this will have to do."
