Chrome Daphne – composed of childhood friends Ben and Chris – bridge smooth r&b tones with the pulse of electronic groove, finding the space between rhythm and reflection. The instrumental on "Stuck (On You)" pulls from disco and funk influences, while the incredibly slick vocals remind me of the early work of Robin Thicke. This velvet-like vocal performance accentuates the romantic charm of the songwriting as the glossy synths elevate the track to a dreamy space simultaneously. I can't neglect to mention the catchy lead floating alongside the vocals to ensure the joy of this experience lingers in your head for hours on end.
