I’ve covered Cortese a lot this year, and for good reason - their ability to balance airy atmospheres with hard-hitting UK Garage grooves is seriously addictive for me.
Their final release of the year "Dracula" is a lovely representation of the sound they've been presenting this year. The pair have created a soundscape for listeners to immersive themselves in on this release thanks to the dreamy allure of the synths alongside the incredibly catchy melodies. This is complemented by a low end that's beefy, bringing weight and grit that ties the whole experience together - especially on the dance floor. I predict that in 2026, Cortese will have their break out year and cement themselves as a key name within the next wave of UK Garage.
