In the last few months, corto.alto has become a synonym for great time in my personal Thesaurus. His new track, "DON’T LISTEN", solidifies that. The song is another piece of the journey to showcasing his natural ear for cross-pollination of genres and styles. Liam elaborates, "a call to blocking out the noise, ignoring creative conformity and embracing the freedom to do whatever the fuck you want.”

The song marks his welcome to Ninja Tune and comes just in time ahead of his performance at this year's Glastonbury Festival and then a tour that spans across the US, Europe, and UK, including his biggest headline show to date at London’s legendary KOKO in October.

I love the intensity of the song and the wobbly production that features heavy basslines, distorted leads, and fuzzy vocals.

“DON’T LISTEN is a left turn for me into instinct over instruction. I wrote this track as a call to blocking out the noise, ignoring creative conformity and embracing the freedom to do whatever the fuck you want.”

The kind of sound that feels like a great substitute for coffee early in the morning.
