Music is timeless and it's one of those things that will be here long after all of us are gone. I rarely think about that time, but it has crossed my mind whether my (hopefully) grand-grand kids would go back to those ancient posts and explore the music of today. Art, in general, and it's ability to bottle a message, memory and X for years to come is what makes it so special.
Cotton Duck's new single is a tribute and a way to preserve the memories of his father, who sadly passed away earlier this year. Accompanied by sonic snippets and visuals from his childhood, “1997” is a powerful yet melancholic electronic gem - the kind of song that belongs on a long winter walk. It’s been incredibly misty where I live, so this one fits right in. It hits those emotional chords perfectly.
