For years, Houis has been a regular feature on the Stereofox site. And this year, he veers in a different direction through his alter ego Cotton Duck.
His Cotton Duck project treads towards dance territory, and "Push" serves as his debut release. This new sound reminds us of acts like Duskus and demotapes by how Cotton Duck blends elements of chill electronica, UKG, and future beats. Honestly, it's a tough sound to categorize. All I know is that it's able to tug at my emotions while getting me to groove along. The luminous synths are paired with obscure, catchy vocals while the rhythm section is pleasantly bouncy throughout the track. I'm excited to see where Houis will take Cotton Duck after hearing this!
