Slowing the pace down ever so slightly meet Daudi Matsiko, a singer-songwriter based in Nottingham, who makes some rather nice alt-folk. We haven't heard much from Matsiko since his well-received debut EP "A Brief Introduction To Failure" come out in early 2014.
Take some time out and listen to "Sandwiches" the opening track off his upcoming new EP, "The Lingering Effects of Disconnection", which he will self-release on his label; ok, alright on 27th November.
As ever, Daudi’s beautiful, soothing tones are central to the track, accompanied by a folky guitar and later joined by a gentle piano chord sequence that trickles with emotion.
It's one of those tracks that will make for a perfect listen on those cold, dark nights ahead of us.
