It seems like I'm on a full jazz house roll today, and honestly, I'm totally in for it. Each track's so unique in its own way, and I'd happily throw all of them on my birthday party playlist this weekend (woo!).
I am in love with this one, "Blazing Sun" by DAWSON, a jazz house project created by New Zealand producer Ethan Jupe. It features Auckland-based vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer HIGH HØØPS, whose vocals add the perfect cherry on top.
I was instantly grabbed by the marimba chords in the intro. Combined with the lush guitar-playing, atmospheric synths, solid house groove, and magical vocals, you don't need anything else to be hooked until the end. So good for sunny walks, picnics with friends, car rides, or just chilling at home.
