Towards the end of last year, I predicted that we'd be getting a DJ Seinfeld album soon - it seems that was correct, as he recently announced the release date of his upcoming body of work, "If This Is It".
One of the tracks that has gripped my attention throughout this rollout is the latest release with TS Graye "U Can't Come Home". Here, DJ Seinfeld has blended his signature aesthetic with what feels like r&b and breakbeat, a combination that works surprisingly well. The drums are punchy and serve as the track's energetic center of gravity, while the vocals float across the mix in quite an atmospheric way. This complements the dreamy, bright synths, and together they shape a glowing, uplifting sonic palette.
