While I've spent over a decade in the industry, I can't say I've mastered that many things just yet. One, because things change rapidly, and two, because there's so much to learn and explore, a lifetime wouldn't be enough. That being said, I would like to believe I have a knack for spotting great people who are driven by passion-first when it comes to making exceptional music. One such person is Thomas Truman, the person behind Dokkodo Sounds. An artist whose art has given me a number of special memories, and who I'll cherish forever.
Being able to welcome Thomas back to our label is not only an honour, but a reason for overzealous happiness. After a short break from releasing music, we're taking an important first step towards his upcoming full-length album, Tomorrow Comes, which we'll release in July. Once you hit the play button, you'll quickly realize the progression of his sounds. From a more mellow and laid-back downtempo electronica towards an upbeat, hope-infused electronica in the style of Gold Panda and Tycho. "Begin Again" is an empowering, yet mindful genre-fluid song that will add a soulful sense of uplift to your life.
