El. Train’s “wantyouback.” demonstrates the UK-based artist’s clear understanding of this concept with a very risky, yet rewarding rework of the Jackson 5 hit, “I Want You Back.”
By twisting his low-key funky house vibes around variations of MJ’s vocals, El. Train has created a soulfully addicting track that I can’t seem to get enough of. This rework has strayed enough from the original to create a unique sound while still retaining just the right nostalgic elements of the original.
