Did I ever tell you how much of a sucker i am for piano-led ballads?
Maybe it has something to do with how i used to find solace in melancholic music during my depression/anxiety years, or the fact that the instrument is just that powerful. "Like a Funeral" is the debut single by Erik Jonasson, a 23-year old Swedish singer-songwriter, and oh man, what a way to start a career! Erik's affected croon soars over those piano chords and the delicate acoustic guitar, and the string arrangement is subtle, but it enhances the melody beautifully.
"Like A Funeral" is going to touch your heart, and it has definitely left us wondering what kind of bright future lies ahead for such a promising new voice in the Scandinavian scene.
