FKJ's latest track, "Changes Rising," may very well be my favorite release sitting in his catalog. His compelling fusion of soul and bedroom pop takes us on a smooth, dreamy voyage here.
This marks the second single from his highly anticipated 3rd album Tyber, and throughout this rollout, something that is gripping more than just the music is the visuals. "Changes Rising" is paired with an intimate performance that suits the track's tripping aesthetic. FKJ's vocals are tastefully languid and unhurried, and this adds to the track's dream-like quality where things feel distant and unreal. When we reach the midsection, a pitch-shifted synth that sounds like a guitar offers a fierce contrast and breathes life into the experience. We're treated to so many fascinating moments, I'm really looking forward to hearing how this album will unravel!
