Illect Recordings brought together Cambridge duo Future Infinite (producer Imperial & guitarist Stewart Garry) & California rapper Nomis for the magnificent EP Consider It Joy.
The title/opening track is soul/gospel-driven, with silky jazzy guitars, warm chords, vinyl cuts & raw hip-hop drums, of course. Nomis brings a stellar flow that "celebrates the beauty born from struggle", elevated by the choir in the background.
"Consider It Joy" is both reflective & uplifting - something we might've not known we needed.
