I've said this before, but repetition is the mother of knowledge, so why not repeat myself? The guys at Ghostly International are doing hell of a job and their releases are nothing but impressive.

Earlier today I discovered a new artist on their roster - Geotic. Well, kinda - Geotic is actually the moniker of Will Wiesenfeld who we know as Baths. Also, "new" is a bit of a stretch as this would be his 12th release under this name.

After figuring all those connections I did trace a tiny bit of sound similarity between the 2 projects, but "tiny" is definitely a word to highlight here. Geotic's positive, playful and vibrant dance electronica feels like a shortcut to a world of happiness and it quickly charged my day with positive feelings. I guess he picked the title right.

I think the following quote from Will sums perfectly the inspiration and drive behind "Actually Smiling".

So much of dance music is about partying and going out and having a really hardcore social experience. Dance music has never been that for me. So much of my experience listening to music is being by myself - at home or in my car.

His LP Abysma is scheduled for March 31st this year. Something to be excited about! The tracklist of the LP includes 8 songs:

1. Sunspell
2. Actually Smiling
3. Nav
4. Billionth Remnant
5. Laura Corporeal
6. Vaulted Ceiling, Painted Sky
7. Perish Song
8. Valiance
